Government Investment in development of roads
NSW and Australian Governments are spending billions of dollars on improving infrastructure in Western Sydney to support future traffic demand and expected growth. People living at Glenmore Park will enjoy the benefits of the upgrades to approximately 35 kilometres of The Northern Road. There will be a minimum of four lanes between The Old Northern Road, Narellan and Jamison Road, South Penrith.
The New M12 Motorway
The Australian and NSW governments are proposing to build a new motorway as part of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan (WSIP) road investment program. The new motorway will provide direct access to the Western Sydney International Airport at Badgerys Creek and connect to Sydney’s motorway network. The new M12 motorway will provide an east-west 16 km motorway between the M7 Motorway, Cecil Hills and The Northern Road, Luddenham. Start date of major construction: early 2022 Expected completion date: before the opening of the Western Sydney International Airport – Circa 2026.
Western Sydney Metro
The exact station locations for the new Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project have been confirmed. The 23 kilometre driverless railway line will service St Marys, Orchard Hills, Luddenham, the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and two stations at the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) airport. Orchard Hills metro station once opened will be a 5 minute drive from Glenmore Park. The line will connect to St Marys metro station which is located under the existing Sydney Trains suburban rail station at St Marys. This station connects to Greater Sydney.
